I have a feeling they'll stick to the original names and features for the end product. I don't really care if Eva has toes or not, considering it is supposed to be a humanoid robot. They made it with fingers, why not toes? What I don't like is that Unit 00 has a mouth. There's only one Eva that should have a mouth, and that's 01.
I've said this before, I'm not a big fan of the basic style of anime. I like anime characters with a more natural look to them, like in "The Animatrix" and in "The Chronicles of Riddick, Dark Fury", so I would say... I like the black hair and brown...

i saw some of the concept art for the movie on my director's cut dvd (Ressurection) i personaly think that Rei look does look overly more human but i think that is a downside, she looks good being a weirdo with blue hair and red eyes, it suit's an anime...

What does this have to do with Rei's hair you ask? Well I got a look at the concept art for the movie and they've changed a lot of things about the characters' appearances . For Rei they changed her name from Rei to well um...Ray (not much of a change), and her hair from blue to black. I didn't get a good look but they've also changed her eyes from red to brown. I like the orange better, because the blue they gave 00 doesn't match Rei's hair well, and the orange one took a good beating.
